Less than a fifth of New Jersey was abnormally dry as of Oct. 26, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor.
That's an improvement compared with a week earlier, when nearly half the state was in a moderate drought or abnormally dry, according to the Drought Monitor.
Another map shows near-normal conditions in all of the Garden State as of Oct. 30, according to NOAA's Climate Prediction Center.
However, the Manasquan Reservoir in Howell was 68.29 percent full as of Oct. 28, down slightly from 68.7 percent full on Oct. 21, according to the New Jersey Water Supply Authority.
Most of Monmouth County and northern Ocean County remain in a drought watch, with state officials continuing to urge residents to conserve water.
